Why does an open pdf doc prevent automatic shutdown of windows? I have to
manually close the pdf doc before full shutdown can complete.

Any reason for this behaviour?/
Thanks

You should close all open docs of any kind before shutdown. Who
instructed you on how to use a computer...Fred Flintsone?

It's just Adobe's way of protecting you from yourself.

As mentioned before, Adobe is forcing the shutdown to halt. It is
also true that other applications may cause this "halt" also.
However, there does not seem to be a complete list. You will only
find out at the shutdown times.
