If you have Acrobat Writer, a lot of time and nerves of steel, you can try
to save the pdf file as an RTF, html or plain text one... But Adobe and Word
are totally different, and work differently to keep text in place... you may
have nasty surprises!
Good luck!

If it's important enough to spend money on it, try http://www.scansoft.com/pdfconverter/. Another alternative, if you have a
scanner and decent OCR software, is to print the document and OCR it into
Word.
There are many tools out there. Search this newsgroup for where this
question asked/answered in past, and search Google for "pdf to doc" or
other variations.
I rarely have to do this, but when I do I would use Adobe Acrobat which
can save a PDF file to any of a number of formats:
- Adobe PDF
- Encapsulated PostScript (EP0
- HTML
- JPEG
- JPEG2000
- Microsoft Word (DOC)
- PNG
- PostScript (PS)
- Rich Text Format (RTF)
- Text
- TIFF
- XML
- XML Data Package Files (XPD)
