Adobe.com locks up

This is strange. I tried to download acrobat reader from www.adobe.com on a
new machine with Windows Vista Business. Every time the site loads, it
freezes and I have to use task manager to kill it. Other sites seem to work
just fine.
I checked for solutions and was told to get the latest Java suite. Still
does not work. Anybody else see this and is there a fix?

For the mean time, I downloaded the program from an xp machine and will
transfer to the Vista box.

Thanx,
Oppie

Not related to DEP (Data Execution Prevention). I turned that off and
re-booted - no change, adobe.com page still freezes.

Tried disabling add-ons and still freezing when trying to load the Adobe.com
website.

I give up on IE7/vista for now. Firefox seems to work much better with Vista
(as far as I'm concerned).

If one of the gurus can figure out what happened with IE7 on the Adobe site,
I'm willing to give it a try but for now, I'm done.

....And today it is working again. The only thing I remember changing was
increasing the screen resolution. Another one of life's mysteries.
At least it's working properly with IE7.

They will struggle unless you can provide more information as it works fine
for most people.
It is something on your machine that is the problem and they don't have
access to your machine.
