ADO.NET with Windows 98

Hallo Everyone,

I have a Windows 98 test platform with IE6 sp1. I have
been able to install the .Net Framework 1.1 and the MDAC
2.7 however the database IO does not work. When carrying
out the SQL statement I get the error:

No error information available REGDB_E_CLASSNOTREG
(0x80040154)

Do you know what I need to install to make this work. The
same program works fine on Windows 2000...

Do you have MDAC 2.7 or later installed?

Hallo Bob,

I have installed MDAC 2.7, to be sure a reinstalled MDAC
2.7 but unfortunately I get the same error. I think it
might have something to do with the revision of the
Windows 98. Because I have tried this on a PC with a later
revision of Windows 98 and it worked.
