Adminstrator only XP Pro installation?

I've installed XP Pro many times to my previous motherboard and the
installations have always allowed me to install with only the sole
windows "Administrator" account, and did not force me to setup any
users during the installaton.

I swapped motherboards and did a new XP Pro installation, and besides
the windows "Administrator" account, it forced me to setup a user
account with admin priviledges.

I tried to install again, and ditto. What is the variable that allows
an XP Pro installation with only the windows "Administrator" account
verses an installation that forces creation of a use admin account?

Possibly this is something new with SP2. In any case, you definitely do
*not* want to only create only one account. Accounts can become
corrupted and other problems can arise and you will leave yourself no
way to get into an account to fix the system with only the
Administrator account created.

Since SP2, I believe, it's necessary to reboot the PC at the point
where it asks one to create an additional account. When the PC reboots,
WinXP will allow you to log in as Administrator, without first having
created any other user accounts.

Of course, this is a very unwise thing to do, from a security point of
view. The built-in Administrator account really isn't intended to be
used for day-to-day normal use. The standard security practice is to
set a strong password on it and use it only to create another account
for regular use, reserving the Administrator account as a "back door" in
case something corrupts your regular account(s).
