administrator password

i have windows xp home edition. on my computer are 3
different user accounts, only mine is an administrator
account, and it is password protected. however i have
forgotten the password and haven't got a password
recovery disc and the password hint has not helped me
remember. is there anything i can do to get back into my
files and to become an administrator again to install new
programs??? please help
 
Hi Harry,

Restart the system and enter Safe mode by hitting F8 at startup. There
should be a default administrator logon in addition to your own. Use this
one, then reset your account's password (control panel/users).
