Administrator password lockout

I'm running Win 2000 Professional on a home pc and can't log in as I don't
know the password for the Administrator username. I've tried the various
solutions recommended here but unfortunately my floppy drive isn't
functioning to use a boot recovery disk. I've tried creating a copy on to a
USB drive via another pc but it's not picked up when I reboot the machine.
Everything I've tried leads me back to the log in screen for Administrator.

Any suggestions gratefully received!

Thanks

Floppy drives are cheap if you are up to the task of swapping out
the old drive yourself. $12 Canadian - less than $10 YankeeBucks.

As well, explore your BIOS options. You might not be able to
boot from a USB floppy drive simply because you haven't enabled
that in the BIOS.

Do you have a CD drive?

If so have you tried this bootable Knopix password reset CD
