Administrative shares

Server 2000. At start up administrative shares IPC$ and
ADMIN$ do not start and must be started from command
prompt.


HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\Lanman
Server\Parameters\AutoShareServer is set to (1).

Any help apprciated.

- How do you know that they are not "started"?
- How do you "start" them manually?
- Have you looked at the availability of C$ and D$ (which are
usually called "administrative" or "default" shares?
