I need to uninstall the anti virus program that does not
work after conversion from ME. I have to sign on as the
administrator, but I do not remember setting up the admin
sign. Is there a way to reset the password without losing
everything?

Boot to safe mode and just select administrator.
Usually there isn't a password - just hit enter.

I am only a novice at this, but in trying to solve

another problem involving administrator,I found the
following to be helpful. Boot in safe mode (hold down F8,
while booting. Select safe mode and enter. This will
enable you to select control panel. at control panel,
select adminstrator and you should be able to create an
adminstrator function. XP is crazy, but hope this works
for you.
