.adm files xp sp2

I have installed sp2 on XP, when I go into Group Policy Management console on
the machine and click edit on a policy it does not update some policies to
include the new settings ( I amd specificallay interested in the firewall
settings). Some policies have updated but not the ones I need is there a way
to force the .adm file to update?
