adjacent cells select themselves

Hi Everyone,
We've had several users experience an issue where they select a singl
cell and then when they move the mouse all of the adjacent cells selec
themselves automatically. The mouse is being operated correctly.
We've reinstalled Office 2003 and that fixes the problem for a whil
but it seems to return for an unknown reason after a month or two o
fairly substantial use???
Any help would be greatly appreciated.....Thank

It could be a dodgy Shift or Alt button stuck down on your keyboard (even if
it appears to be up!).

F8 will put the app into EXTend mode and do exactly as you describe. F8
again will reverse it if that is how it started.
