Address Toolbar doesn't work

I ofter work with the Address Toolbar on the Taskbar. After installing
Netscape, then uninstalling, my Address bar stopped working. I can type an
address in, then hit Go and NOTHING happens. I believe this is related to
the fact that IE did NOT ask me if it should be the default browser, even
though I had that option checked. I got it to work with links again, but
not with the Address Toolbar,

Awaiting your reply

Have you tried to right click on the bar on the upper portion of IE? There
should be a list in the submenu to enable the Address Bar.

GLuck!

Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs > Set Program Access and Defaults >
Browser > Is IE selected here?

Hello,

I have the same problem but it is not fixed by what you suggested. Any other
ideas? Btw, every time I go to "Set program Access and Defaults" the "Use my
current web browser" radio button is selected instead of the "Internet
Explorer" button. When I select "Internet Explorer" and click "OK", I get a
window that says it is applying the changes but when I go back and check, it
again says "use my current web browser". Is this normal?

Thanks
Peter
