ADDRESS BOOK

I USED TO HAVE AN ADDRESS BOOK ICON IN MY TOOLBAR IN OUTLOOK. FOR SOME
STRANGE REASON IT HAS DISAPPEARED AND I CAN'T RETRIEVE IT. I HAVE A CONTACTS
BOX ON THE LEFT HAND SIDE OF OUTLOOK, BUT THAT IS NOT WHAT I WANT.
HELP PLEASE.

Yo Dave...easy on the Caps Lock dude. Makes the post really hard to read.

You didn't mention the version of Outlook but hopefully this will work.
Click on View - Toolbars - Customize. Click on the Commands tab, select the
Standard catagorie, and scroll down until you find the Address Book icon.
then drag the Address Book icon to your toolbar.

Hi Tim. Many thanks for your reply. i was going great guns and had the icon on the toolbar, but when i clicked on it I got the message"Can't contact LDAP directory sever (81).

So at the moment i am back to square 1. Sorry for the caps before. I didn't
realise I had it on until I had finished the question.
