Address book issue

Can anybody assist

When I send a new email, and type the first few
characters of the recipient in the 'To' box, a drop down
appears containing similar addresses I have used before.
Some of these names are ones not in my address book and I
wish to delete them - how can I do this

Use the same method we post here several times a day.
Remove individual addresses from the autocompletion cache by highlighting
the entry when presented in the suggested names list (use your arrow key to
migrate to the entry) and then hitting your Delete key before you tab out of
the field. If your autocomplete list contains only a single entry, use the
