Has anyone else had the same problem i wonder.
i have a good 40 contacts within my contacts folder, but the addres
book seems to be missing???????
what i mean is, if i want to forward a e-mail and cc it to others, whe
i go to cc and double click, i have only about 15 contacts.
(I HAVE USED PC SYNC FOR NOKIA)
if i create a new message and start to type a contacts details that i
not in the contact folder, the name will appear.
I know the addresses are there but hidden.

Have you confused your nickname list with your contacts? And have you made
sure to check your Contacts to enable them to be used as an e-mail address
book?

i am not sure what you mean !
i hve spent a long time last night re inputting the e-mail adresses i
to my contacts.
i think maybe, when i sync'd my phone, the contacts were over writte
by the phone contacts. If that was the case, how come i could retriev
the e mail addresses by using the create new message function an
starting to type the e-mail address, it findsthe address???
Thanks Chris

The autocompletion cache, which holds the address you see when you start
typing in a recipient field, is not connected to your contacts in any way
whatsoever. It is merely a memory of the addresses to which you've sent mail
in the past. For more info on this feature, see this:
http://www.ingressor.com/autocompletetips.htm

Right-click your Contacts folder and choose Properties. Now click the
"Outlook Address Book" tab and examine the box labeled "Show this folder as an
e-mail Address Book". It should be checked. If not, check it, close the
dialogue, and restart Outlook. Those contacts that have resolved e-mail
addresses should now appear in the Contacts folder you see in the Address Book
when you click To.

The sync is the likely culprit - if the sync is not configured correctly you
can wipe out the contacts on either the phone or outlook.

The names you see when you start typing is the autocomplete cache, not the
address book.
See http://www.slipstick.com/problems/nicknamecache.asp for tools you can
use to get those addresses into your contacts.
