I am having a problem with the search in my address bar .
This is happening on both my friend's computer as well as
my moms . The problem is that the search used to be msn
search whenever i typed anything into the address bar but
now it comes up with an error and fills with % and such .
I have used the spyware programs described in other
messages but this has not seemed to work even after
deleting the problem spyware programs . do i have to
reinstall ie ?

First eliminate any scumware.

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each need to be updated before every use, even when just
downloaded. There's also a lot more to do than just those two programs.

If trying everything at that site does not fix the problem please post back
in the same thread.

.
I've tried to remove the spyware with the programs without
any success. I've used the Ad-Aware and there was still
the same problem
