address bar problem

I try to type in a search but get errors unless I
actually type in the whole address like www.hotels.com.
I cannot just type hotels and hit enter. I used to be
able to just do a search for anything by keyword. Can
anyone help

Hi Joanne - download and run:
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/regs_edits/RestoreSearch2.REG to restore
your search functions. You can then use Customize in the normal Search Box
to set up the options you want (default Address Bar search, etc.)

I was having same problem
This is what I did to fix
1. Updated my browser
2. Ran ad-adware 6 with the new ref list. and deleted all of the malware
3. Ran HiJackthis and checked my registry. I found that after deleting all of the malware, there was no default entry where registry reads 03 Toolbar&radio.............................................
4. I went to this site and updated my registry

5. Checked my address bar and all is good!
