Address Bar MIA!

[Captain STUMPED]

Alright, so i'm browsing around the net, when suddenly my
address bar dissapears. the common fixes, like making
sure address bar has a checkmark next to it aren't
working. i deleted the associated reg key as per the MS
knowledge database entry on the problem, but to no avail.
i've restarted the comp, closed all other programs and
still no dice.

if push comes to shove, can i reinstall ie6?

Could be due to a parasite (some form of malware). See this page for more info:

Did you check if the address bar was just hidden? Tried un-locking the tool
bars, and grab/dragging a divider? Disable all other toolbars, and un-check
and then re-check Address bar last.

If that fails, I'd check for malware. Customary programs and methods. This
Newsgroup will offer many previous posts on that subject. As a last resort
I'd repair or re-install IE.
