address bar clearing

My address bar will not clear all past web sites visted -
there are some that always remain even after clear
history is performed. How can I find where these are
being stored so that I can get rid of them.

Download DelTypedURL.inf from http://www.mvps.org/winhelp2002/download.htm
or check the TypedURLs key in the registry according to this article:
157729 - How to Clear the History Entries in Internet Explorer:

If these entries aren't coming from the TypedURLs key, they're coming from
the History\index.dat file. See: How To Delete the Temporary Internet Files
http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/delcache.htm for instructions regarding
deletion of the History folder.

You want to delete the Temporary Internet Files AND the History Folder.
