Additional Licence, will it work in WinXP prof NL?

I recently started to upgrade my PC's fromn win 2K to win Xp pro. I bought
an original MS win XP SP1 package and installed it on one of my two pc's. I
understood that I cannot install the same copy on two pc's, even though my
second PC is my back-up laptop. I have to buy an additional copy of win xp
pro. During the installation process I saw that it is possible to buy an
additional licence much cheaper than a full version.
I called MS support desk, but MS in the Netherlands does not sell those.

Does anybody know if I order an additional licence (I will get only a key),
through the official channel (in the US), will it then work with my windows
XP Pro NL SP1 version?? I dont want to risk paying 180$ for a licencekey
that will not work.

thanx

Reread your users agreement. Usually Microsoft does let
you use the same software on one computer and one laptop.
At least that's what my eula says.

Sorry, stud, but only the Office EULA allows for the installation and use of
the software on both a desktop and laptop (but not at the same time). The
Windows EULA has NEVER allowed the installation and use of the OS on more
than ONE machine.
