Adding XP Pro Machine to 2000 domain

I currently am running a Windows 2000 Server. I have a few laptops that our
Agents use that are running XP Pro. Some of their user profiles have already
been established on their XP Pro machines before they came over to our Agency
which means, emails, My Documents, Pictures, etc. have already been
established on these machines. Instead of copying their user profiles which
can take a lifetime, when I migrate them to the 2000 network, I would like to
know is their an easier step to adding them to the network without doing this
tedious task? Is there a way I can rename their current user to their name
already set up on Active Directory?
servername/username in Computer Management?

The Windows XP Files and Settings Transfer Wizard seems to me to be your
best bet, on one of the XP computers go into the Help menu and search for
the details you need there.
