Adding Signature on replies

Jason

In Outlook 2000 when I was replying to an email and I wanted to add my
signature I could simply go insert->signature and it would appear in
the email message. In Outlook 2003 I seem to only be able to always
have a signature or no signature, there doesn't appear to be a way add
the signature on demand.

The closest I found was Insert->Auto Text->Signature but that only
inserted my name, not my full "new message" signature.

Just wondering if there is something I can configure to do this.

Thanks In Advance,
Jason

WordMail does not include an Insert | Signature command like the regular Outlook editor. If you want to be able to insert a signature into a WordMail message manually, you can create an AutoText entry for each signature. You can then insert them with the Insert | AutoText command.

Or, create multiple signatures the normal way (Tools | Options | Mail Format) and make one the default. If you want to use a different signature for the current message, right-click the signature that Outlook inserted automatically. From the pop-up menu, select either the name of the signature you want to use or E-mail Signature to create a new one. I personally prefer this technique. This is also the technique you need to use if you want Outlook 2003 to automatically change your signature when you switch accounts on an unsent message.

Jason,

The signature is located under the Insert Menu - or there is an icon on the
toolbar. I tested this both with new message and on replies with HTML and
RichText formatting. All seem to work fine. I was able to manually (on
demand) and automatically insert signatures.

I would check you signatures setup again. Most likely the a signature is not
selected for Replies and Forwards.

If you are using Word to edit/create messages (which is the default) then
you don't have this option. If you remove the check mark to use Word on the
Mail Format tab in Tools Option then you should be able to insert your
signature whenever you want to.

Thanks everyone. It seems that when I starting using 2003 I also
started using Word as the editor which would explain why I don't have
it anymore.

Thanks again for all the advice.
