As long as it ends with the .scr file extention, you should be able to
place it in the C:\WINNT\system32 folder and the system will
automatically add it to the list on screensavers in Display Properties.
This what I have done when I added the screensavers from my old Windows
98 Plus disk. But not every screensaver will work in Windows 2000, so
there is a slight possibility this might not work.

I've copied the default slideshow screensaver from one of my Windows XP
machines to my Win 2000 one and it works fine.
