Adding menu item to "New" drop down in Outlook 2000

I have outlook 2000 and I want to add a new menu item to the "New"
drop down menu item. Usually the "New" drop down menu displays things
like:

Mail Message
Appointment
Meeting Request
Task
etc.

I have an outlook template (OFT file) that I would like to add to the
"New" drop down menu so I can easily display and modify the doc. The
template is labeled "Status Report"... so when I click on the "New"
drop down menu I would like it to display something like:

Mail Message
Appointment
Meeting Request
Status Report
Task
etc.

Thanks in advance,
Roger

I tried this on Outlook 2003 (didn't have 2000 handy) but it should work for
2000, go to View > Toolbars > Customize > on the left under Categories
select "Standard" > on the right under Commands select > "Office Document"
and drag and drop this onto the New button on the Toolbar > now right click
this Office Document field and select Edit Hyperlink > Open > browse to the
file > OK > right click the Office Document and cursor into the name field
and type in a suitable name. Instead of dragging to the New drop down you
could instead drag it to a toolbar.
