Adding memory

P

Soltek SL-75FRN2 running 2 x 256 Corsair 3200XMS in dual mode.

Last box built was 2 years ago, my memory ain't so good, and computer
memory has dropped in price so much, would like to add another stick of
512 PC3200 to above to get 1gig of RAM.

Do I need to put it back in single mode, and do I need to match the 256,
or will another stick of 512 work?

I've lost the manuals, and hope someone will be decent enough to not
flame me for spending my day Googling istead of a yes or no answer.

Thanks
Mark

Ideally you'd sell the pair of 256 modules and buy a pair of 512mb
modules and run those in dual channel mode.

Cheers,

I'm going to die rather sooner than I'd like. I tried to protect my
neighbours from crime, and became the victim of it. Complications in
hospital following this resulted in a serious illness. I now need a bone
marrow transplant. Many people around the world are waiting for a marrow
transplant, too. Please volunteer to be a marrow donor:
