Adding Mass Storage Device Drivers To Custom XP Pro CD

Hello

Is it possible to add support for the HPT 374 raid driver
straight onto a custom xp CD, without the need to press
F6 and have a floppy. I've tried different variations
and none work.

I've used the winnt.sif file with the $OEM$ folder and
the txtsetup.oem file etc but it just won't play ball.

Microsoft are useless and want to charge me $75 just to
say it can't be done when I know it can.

Can someone please give me a step by step guide without
any errors a proven failsafe method.

I know I am asking a lot but surely there's some mcse
expert willing to help out there.

Thanks

I'm not sure with XP, but with Windows 2000 it couldn't be done. Well, not
easily anyway.

While you can put normal drivers into a custom $oem$ directory, mass storage
devices get read in a different way and setup (on 2000) didn't look in the
right place to pick them up. I don't think that XP has changed anything
here, but I could be wrong.

This is a description from someone who go it working on Windows 2000.
