Adding history email to Contact in BCM

I use Outlook 2003 with BCM. I want to add an exisiting email to a Business
Contact. I open the email and using the "Link to History" toolbar I Choose
Business Contact and the name from the Name drop down. I choose Save and
Close. When I look at the Business Contact History the mail does not appear.

Any idea why?

That technique has always worked fine for me. Do you see other history
entries for that contact? Alternatively, you can have BCM scan your folders
for mail to and from its contacts -- Business Tools | Link Email | Link
Existing Email.

Yes, but those have been created from the contact record (Meeting, Note)

I just did this, but it did not assign it. Whether this is successful or not
I guess depend on which field the app uses to match the two records. If it
uses Display Name, I understand that it goes wrong. If it uses email
address, it should work but does not. Anyway, why the original assignment
does not work is still a mystery to me.

Well, I never stop being surprised by Microsoft (their apps and their
service). They told me I was not entitled to support without paying since I
have bought an OEM version of the software with my computer. For a support
incident, they charge EUR 99.

That is indeed their policy. If you have an OEM version, you're supposed to
go through the organization that you purchased it from and then that company
is supposed to escalate it with Microsoft if necessary.
