Adding half days in workday function

Hi - I'm using workday function to calculate the end date for sick pay but it doesn't account for half days for instance if I have an absence period of 5.5 days from 4/5/15 sick pay would end on 11/5 but excel is showing 9/5. It doesn't capture the half day. Is there any way of calculatting to half days please?
