Adding downloadable pdf's to my FP2002 site

I have some .pdf files that i want to have available for download from my site - how is it done

Just import them into your current open FP web, then link to them like any
other file.

when i import them, they expand and become jibberish. I wanted to create a list of files that can be downloaded - when a web visitor clicks on them the will download
I tried to create a frame 2 wide and have the file on one side with a description on the other
I then copied the file directly to my webserver area and created a hyperlink to it and it automaticly opens when clicked on

I am missing so little step or trick somewhere...

Use the File Menu | Import command.

You can not insert them into your page, you must either put text or a image,
then select the text or image, then right click Hyperlink properties, then
browser to correct .pdf file.

Thanks - got it to work off a hyperlink, but they open automaticlly, is there a way to show the option of downloading or viewing the pdf

If the user has the Adobe Reader installed, then it will automatically open,
then the user can use the Save option within the Adobe Reader to save the
file outside of the Browser's Cache folder to another location on their HD
drive.

If you want users to download it first, place a note next to the link with
instructions to right click and Save... etc.
