adding design to Slide Design area

in PPT 04 for Mac, I want to save a design template I've created in the Slide
Design box, under the Change Slides section of the Formatting Palette. It's
where you can select a slide and click a design in that box, and the slide
changes to that design. I can't seem to add the design template I created.
Help please
