Adding color to an if statement

T

Tom

I am using a simple if statement that returns "valid" or "Invalid" depending
on the value in cell a1 . Is it possible to add a color to the "valid" for
instance so that valid displays green and "invalid" displays red? Can the
formatting be contained right inside the If statement or does it require
conditional formatting? How would I do it using conditional formatting ?

Thanks

Your reference to Cell A1 makes me wonder if this is an Excel question. If
so, Exel has conditional formatting as an option, but you would do best to
ask about the details in an Excel group. This group is for discussions
about Microsoft Access, a relational database program. The web interface is
not always clear.
