This problem as far as I can tell is graphic card related (most Radeon
cards). I described this problem in a bit more detail in "Windows Movie
Maker 2.1 incompatibility issue with ATI Radeon ?".
The only sure way to resolve this issue right now is using a graphics card
that isn't built around an ATI chipset.
