Adding a button crashes Access 2003

On one form in my database, (the main one, with a set of tabs), when I add a
new button (either directly or copy/paste), Access aborts with no useful
message. Looking in the event log, I see entries similar to:

"Faulting application msaccess.exe, version 11.0.8166.0, stamp 46437912,
faulting module vbe6.dll, version 6.5.10.24, stamp 464105f1, debug? 0, fault
address 0x00006227."

The fault address does vary. Adding buttons to other forms seems to be OK.
Same behaviour on several tabs.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Nick.

Sounds like you might have a corrupt form there. You might try using the
decompile switch and then compact and repair, and then compile again. (make
a copy and work on it). Otherwise you might need to import everything into a
new mdb/accedb file.
