Add voting buttons to a meeting notice?

I know how to use voting buttons with a message, but I can't figure out how
to use them with a meeting notice. Shouldn't there be a way to do that?
Short of sending a email message with the meeting notice in it, I can't
figure out how to do this. Please help!
