Add UTF-8 fonts for console

Hi,
I've got a process that's displaying UTF-8 characters to the console on
WinXP and WinServer 2003. These characters are shown as junk by default, but
they should show up correctly if I can do two things:
1)Change the codepage before running the process.
2)Choose an appropriate font for the console.

Number 1 is straightforward, but I can't find a process for #2. How does one
add fonts that will appear available in the console? The closest thing I've
found is this link:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;247815

But it doesn't mention WinXP, and actually, the registry path is not present
in WinXP.

Any ideas?

Windows XP Pro SP1.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows
NT\CurrentVersion\Console\TrueTypeFont

is present on my machine.

Value Name: 0
Data Type: REG_SZ
Value Data: Lucida Console

If you do not have that key, you probably do not have Lucida Console as a
choice, only Raster Fonts.

Others have done it with XP, see these...
