In Outlook 2000, you can easily add to your Contacts folder the name of
anyone who sends you an e-mail message.

Add a sender's name to your Contacts folder
Open the e-mail message.
On the From line, right-click the name of the sender, and then click Add to
Contacts.
A contact will open with the sender's name and e-mail address filled in. You
can add any other information you want.

The (Add to Contacts) option never appears! Is this a custom feature? I
would think should appear by default. Thanks for any help possible

No, I have not tried doing a repair and here is why! This pc, has outlook
2000 installed and the short cut does not appear. Earlier this evening, I
installed outlook 2002 on my second pc and it does not appear there either.
But what is strange, is on the second pc, I also have outlook express
installed and the short cut appears and works perfectly. I am totally
connfused! I will try a repair and report back.

It should work - did you try a reinstall to repair the installation?

Please disregard my last post! All is well in the world and the missing
short cut has appeared!!!! Not sure as to why, but everything is working
properly. Thanks for your help. Carmine

When you open a message and right-click the sender's address, the context
menu should have "Add to Contacts".

If you realize that Outlook Express and Outlook are completely separate
applications and the behavior of one has no effect on the behaviour of the
other, perhaps it won't be so confusing.
