Add/Remove Programs

I can no longer get the list of installed prograns and therefore cannot
remove installed programs. Is this possibly spyware? I have run Spybot
and it hangs up on a file named flashget.exe and fails to get by that
file! Any recommendations?
 
Can you initiate a System Restore? If so, you can select a restore point before you installed Spybot. Of course, I have had similar problems with Spybot in my travels, and that is why I would not recommend it. Have you tried the Microsoft Anti-Spyware beta? I have a copy on my computer. Anyway, that's beside the point. If System Restore is operational, I recommend that you select a restore point before the Spybot installation. That should force an uninstallation of Spybot, and your computer should run as if Spybot was never there, and you should be able to access Add or Remove Programs once again. Oh, and do get the Microsoft Anti-Spyware beta. I have used it many times, and it has proven highly efficient for me.
