Add/ remove programs

Add/remove was doing nothing when pressed. I reinstalled it from windows cd,
appwiz.cpl Now it's back but empty.
Is there a way to see installed programs again in it ?

No easy way. You could do a system restore to a point where the entries were listed, then
export & save the following registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall

Undo the system restore, then merge the saved key back to the registry.

Unfortunatly, restore points were deleted following instructions found on a
web site.

Tried both links.
Nothing fixed my problem.

Remove the White Space from Add or Remove
line#226 right.

Are you 100% certain that Add or Remove Programs is empty? Did you try
scrolling down the entire list? Or dragging the scroll bar down?

Hope this helps. Let us know.

The best you're going to get, is if the program has it's own ununstaller. Look in the program's
folder for an 'Uninstall.exe"

Yes some have their own uninstaller but some don't.
I would have like to know how to have it fixed anyway.

In the registry, under the unistall section all softwares are still there.
