How does one get programs I downloaded on the XP Add Remove Programs list for
easier uninstall? Presently, I download to a "Download" folder on my desktop,
but I see they don't make the list of programs in the XP programs. Thanks.

The add/remove listing is for "installed" programs - not downloaded
programs. Or, do you mean you "installed" a program to a folder on your
desktop (not a good practice BTW)

After you install the program it should appear in the Add/Remove list...most
do but not all.

Thanks for yr answers but isn't there a way to get installed programs in the
list of the Add Remove Programs? Many of my programs are not listed like
Internet Explorer 6, among many others Windows and non-Windows.

Some win* apps will not be listed eg IE, OE etc as they are actually part of
the o/s
Perhaps you might be more specific as to what is missing.

Internet explorer doesn't appear by default in the add/remove. The reason is
obvious - to stop you deleting them.
