Add/Remove Programs Error

I get the following error when trying to open "Add/Remove
Programs" on the Control Panel in Windows 2000 - Service
Pack 4.

An unexpected error occurred.

Object doesn't support this property of method
res://sp3red.dll/default.hta
Line: 82.

From the "Run" box try

regsvr32 %windir%\system32\appwiz.cpl

and
regsvr32 %windir%\system32\webvw.dll

and
regsvr32 %windir%\system32\mshtml.dll

You might try to reinstall IE, the article above also tells you how to do that.

If this doesn't help, try to reinstall the OS service pack you already have
installed (or install a newer one if possible).
