Add/Remove Programs - A's only

P4, 3.01 ghz, 1 gb ram, XP Pro SP1, classic interface.

Add/remove programs only shows 1 page of prgrams that start with letter "A".
All other pages are blank.

KB840374 was uninstalled with no effect.

This only happens with "Sort by: Name". If I use "Frequncy of use", I see
them all. Sup with that?

Look in the registry with regedit.exe

Open to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall

Each item in the list has its own subkey there. Look down for one where
the 'DisplayName' in the right pane is excessively long; and probably
starting with B by the sound of it. Edit that name down to something
short.

Wow! There are several in the list. None found that start with B. They
appear to be in the same order as they were installed. Thanks Alex. I'll
live with this "glitch" I guess.
