Add pc to network

trying to add an XP machine through a wireless connection to the router which
is wired to a Vista machine and the network map shows a dashed green line to
the XP pc. I can't see the XP machine through the Vista explorer and the xp
machine can't access the Vista drives. Sharing is turned on for both
machines. What does the dashed line mean and how can I get the machines to
see each other

Try downloading the Link-Layer Topology Discovery
(LLTD) Responder for XP from Microsoft (KB922120). It worked for me.

Look in vista Networking, not Explorer, to find other computers on your
network. Windows Explorer contains the "public" or "shared" folders, not the
computers
