The statement "I undeleted a program but it still shows in the add or remove
programs list" is meaningless. Please rephrase the question. But, if you meant
to say that you "uninstalled" a program, you can get RegCleaner, free, from
http://www.all-freeware.com/ and it will allow you to remove the entry and keep
a backup in case you screw up.

*Undeleted* or uninstalled? Assuming the latter, how did you
uninstall it?

If you just deleted it, rather than doing it properly, the best
thing to to is reinstall it, then uninstall it from add/remove
programs.

Uninstalled it? Sometimes an uninstall does not go cleanly - if so,
usually it is enough to re-install it and then take the Uninstall. If
an entry is then left orphaned in this way, run regedit.exe and look for
it as the next level under
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall

Highlight the item and Delete

Alex,
Are you sure it's wise to advise someone who doesn't know the difference
between uninstall and undelete to edit his registry?<G> Hope he doesn't live
within driving distance of Bournemouth lest he show up on your doorstep with a
BSODed PC.
