Can someone tell me how to add numbers is a cell? For example cell "A1" may contain the numbers 1232122211. I want to be able to add the numbers up, in this case = 17, thanks for your help....

For my interest, how to amend the formula to include Letter?

eg A=1 , B=2, C=3 and so on Z=26

ie A123 equals to 7
