Add more columns

Does anyone know how to add more columns into excel.
Currently the column headers stop at IV. I need to have
more columns then that so can anyone please let me know
how to add more.

That's the way it's designed.
No more that 256 columns or more than 65536 rows.
No way around it either (at least in Excel).

All versions of Excel (and Lotus 1-2-3) have a 256 column
limit, so you cannot add more columns. The only way to
get more, would be to save the file as a web page (with
the interactivity option enabled) and then your columns
are unlimited (but the Excel functionality is).

It seems to me that I have seen questions like this
before, and the "official smart people" suggest that you
just use another worksheet to contain column IW, IX, and
so on.
Let me know if this works. I don't know anymore about
excel than you do!
