add detail section

How can I add an additonal detail section to my report so that I have two
detail sections, one below the other.

You can't. There's only a single Detail section permissible.

What exactly are you trying to do? Someone may be able to suggest an
alternative. Might a couple of subreports give you what you need?

I am trying to insert 3 word document (each 1 page long) into the detail
section of my report one below the other. The first two fit, but the third
one is too long. I cannot reduce the size of the word documents. I also need
each of the work documents on the report to print out on one sheet each. How
can I solve this?

Sounds like you may have exceeded the 22" limit for a section in a report.

You could try seeing whether using subreports helps. If not, you might try
asking in the Access Reports newsgroup.
