Add "Date Imported"

Writing a macro in Access 2003. I'd like the user to click one button and
import 'SweepReport.xls' into the database to table SweepReport. I'm using
Transfer Spreadsheet and it works fine.

Is it possible during import to have a data field auto added with the date
imported? If so, how?

If you are importing into an existing table, add a date field to that table
and make the default value Now(). That will show the date and time that new
records were added to the table.
