Add colours to highlight function

Hi,

Does anyone know if it is possible to add colours to the highlight function
in Word- I know how to add colours to the main colour palette but the
highlight colour options seem to be slightly restricted?

The highlight colors cannot be changed.

You may be interested in the work-around provided by Greg Maxey in an add-in
(adds shading instead of highlight). See:
