I am currently running Windows 2000 Professional on my
machine, and I would like to install the active directory
application on this machine. A consultant installed the
application on a couple of other machines in our office.

I have administrator rights.

The instructions to run an application from my install
disk cd from d:\i386 didn't work because the the file
wasn't found.

I'm using an install CD labeled:
hp workstations compaq business desktops
Operating System CD
W2K / SP2

Can anyone offer me any advice on how to make this work?
Thanks!

Gus.

Jason,

I tried to do what the link you gave suggests. Please see
my original posting. The recommendations from that link
didn't work.

The instructions to run an application from my install

Correct me if I am wrong but it appears that you are trying to install from
a W2K workstation CD, not a W2K Server CD. The Server CD has the Admin Pack
on it.
