add a picture to excell cell

How do I add a picture to an excell file. So that when I do a datamerge the
picture comes up as well?? PLease help
 
you can't. the most you can do is insert a hyperlink to the picture and
merge that.
 
An object cannot be inserted into a cell, only lay on top.

Where is the datamerge taking taking place?

With more information on your needs a method may be available.
